Super Soccer is a ZX Spectrum soccer game where you manage a single player at a time, identified by a floating halo. You use keyboard or joystick to steer your chosen player, but the game automatically shifts control to the nearest teammate if you wander too far from the ball. Matches last around five minutes, with a countdown timer that pauses during free kicks, penalties, and halftime. Choose to play solo against computer teams or face up to seven human opponents in a turn-based battle. Your aim is to finish with more goals than the other side. The game stands out for its 8-player multiplayer mode and quick match structure, making it easy to play short, competitive rounds. Released in late 1986 by Imagine Software, it later became a free bonus with Crash Magazine thanks to a port by Ocean Software. Despite basic graphics, the control system and strategic switching of active players keep the action flowing.
