Super Sokoban challenges players to navigate a warehouse pushing crates into designated spots without trapping them. Developed by Thinking Rabbit, this 1993 Super Famicom title updates the classic 1982 puzzle formula with a lighthearted story about a worker saving for a car to win over a love interest. Each level demands careful planning as misplaced boxes can block future moves. The player must balance speed and accuracy to clear stages efficiently. The strict move limits on each level make this more than just trial and error. While never released outside Japan, the game’s legacy lives on, many of its puzzles appear in later mobile and PC ports. The Satellaview version added FM synth audio for its broadcast release, but the core mechanic remains sharp and unforgiving. Over 400 levels ensure longevity for fans of methodical problem solving.
