Taxi Journey puts you in the shoes of Gino, a quiet driver who pedals clients on his back because he cannot afford a working car engine. You navigate through strange worlds solving puzzles while avoiding hostile characters who want to stop your trip. The game mixes adventure elements with brain teasers as you travel from one location to another alongside Zoe, a young girl with mysterious abilities. This title stands out for its quirky art style and the unusual premise of carrying passengers manually rather than driving a vehicle. Although the Kickstarter campaign did not meet its goals, the final product delivered a complete single player experience on PC and Wii U. Community feedback suggests the humor and character designs are memorable despite some technical hiccups common in independent projects from that era. The game wraps up Lexis Numerique's development history with a distinct visual identity that sets it apart from similar puzzle adventures.
Gino, a big guy who doesn't say much, is a rather odd taxi driver. Having no money, he can only afford a car without an engine and without a passenger seat so he has to carry his clients on his back and pedal instead of drive. It all begins when he encounters Zoe, a strange little girl with mysterious powers, who takes him to strange and distant lands where they meet a host of loveable and funny characters as well as some rather disturbing ones who will do anything to stop them.
