Top Gun: Firestorm is a 2001 isometric shooter for Game Boy Color that puts you in a F-14 Tomcat fighting through 12 missions. You tackle air and ground targets using machine guns, bombs, rockets, and missiles while completing objectives on a 3/4 view map. The missions focus on combat and precision flying with a structure similar to early arcade-style action games. Each level progresses with still images that advance the story. The game uses the Top Gun name and features pilot Maverick in training scenarios, though the plot stays light and mission-focused. Developed by Fluid Entertainment and published by Titus Interactive, it released in December 2001 with a follow-up version for Game Boy Advance in 2002. Storyline

The story is very loosely based on the movie of the same name. The player guides the well known pilot Maverick through a series of realistic training missions to receive graduation from the Top Gun school. The story is advanced in several stills throughout the game.
