Tourist Trophy is a motorcycle racing simulator built by Polyphony Digital for PlayStation 2. It focuses on realistic handling and track physics with a roster of licensed bikes and circuits. The game uses a modified version of the Gran Turismo 4 engine to deliver sharp visuals and responsive controls. Players can tackle career modes challenge events or race against friends in split screen matches supporting up to four participants. The game stands out for its 1080i output which was rare on PS2 at the time. Regional releases added exclusive content including seven new bikes in the NTSC version and two additional motorcycles in PAL editions. Different versions also included unique music tracks riding gear and visual upgrades. While not as widely discussed as later titles in the genre it remains a niche title for fans of detailed two wheeled racing.
