Vib-Ripple is a rhythm game where you control a pixelated rabbit bouncing on a giant trampoline-like grid. Each level tasks you with timing jumps to the beat of the music using face buttons to reveal hidden 2D characters scattered across the screen. As you progress, squishy enemies called Boonchies chase you, forcing you to dodge while keeping up with the rhythm. The goal is to uncover specific characters listed in a crown at the bottom of the screen though you can go for extra secrets if you feel ambitious. The game lets you create custom levels by importing photos via USB camera or phone though the default levels remain the most polished. Released in 2004 for PlayStation 2 it leans into quirky charm with its focus on percussion over melody. While the series has a dedicated following this entry stands out for its tactile feedback and playful approach to rhythm mechanics. Developer NanaOn-Sha kept the formula simple but flexible letting players mess around with visuals while staying rooted in beat-based gameplay.
