Amusement Vision Ltd. was a development subsidiary of Sega created with members from an in-house division titled Amusement Machine 4 Research & Development(AM4 R&D). It was shutdown and reorganized back into an internal Sega R&D Division structure after Sega's merger with Sammy in 2004.

Amusement Vision was a Japanese developer founded in 2000 as a subsidiary of Sega. The team consisted of members from an in-house group called AM4 R&D. They operated until 2011, when the company shut down and reorganized back into an internal Sega division following the merger with Sammy in 2004. During their eleven years of activity, they released 13 games. Every single title was developed by them rather than published under their own name. Their output was heavily concentrated in the 2000s with twelve releases, while only one game appeared in the 2010s. The studio focused primarily on platformers, arcade games, and sports titles. They also worked on racing, puzzle, hack and slash, strategy, shooter, and fighting games across various systems. Their portfolio included six arcade games, four Nintendo GameCube titles, and one game each for Xbox, PlayStation 2, Nintendo 3DS, and Dreamcast. Their most successful work came early in their run. F-Zero GX from 2003 holds the highest rating on PlayPile at 85.2. Super Monkey Ball Deluxe (2005) scored 78.4, while Super Monkey Ball 2 (2002) reached 72.2. Other notable entries include Daytona USA with a score of 70 and Virtua Striker 2002 at 67. The quality of their output varied over time. Across the seven titles with ratings on PlayPile, the average score sits at 69.7. The breakdown shows one great title, four good ones, and two mixed results. There were no poor rated games in this sample. However, the later releases show a decline in performance. Super Monkey Ball 3D from March 2011 received a mixed rating of 58.4. Ollie King from March 2004 did not have a score listed here but falls into their later output period.
