Blast! Entertainment was a joint venture between the Mastertronic Group in London and the Disky Entertainment Group in the Netherlands. Founded in 2006 with roots stretching back to 2002, this publisher operated primarily until 2008. They released 21 games on PlayPile as a publisher and one title as a developer. The vast majority of their work appeared during the 2000s. Their catalog relied heavily on PlayStation 2 with 21 releases, while they also put out two games on PC and two on Wii. The studio focused on creating new content based on family-orientated licenses from movies, TV shows, classic characters, and toys. Their genre output included six adventure titles, four racing games, three puzzle games, and three platformers. They also released two simulator games and single entries in the arcade, point-and-click, fighting, and shooter categories. Recent releases show a clear pattern of adapting popular children's properties. Titles from late 2007 include Mr Bean, Action Man A.T.O.M.: Alpha Teens on Machines, An American Tail, and Bob the Builder: Festival of Fun. Postman Pat arrived in December 2008.
